Tractor tire maintenance
Author:Ricdro
Tires are important parts of wheeled tractors. Improper use and maintenance can easily cause early wear, blasting, and breakage during work, which not only increases repair costs, but also takes time and effort. Therefore, the correct use and good care of tires have more important practical significance.
- Ensure reasonable load. Overloaded tires can cause rapid damage, especially trailer tires. Therefore, when considering the normal load of the tire, it is best to use 80% to 90% of the maximum load, and overloading is absolutely prohibited. Such as 6.00-16 tires, its maximum load is 550 kg, if the load is often exceeded, the service life will be shortened by about 1/2. Moreover, when the tractoris overloaded, there are still serious safety problems.
3. Correct positioning of the front wheel. The main reasons for the changes in the positioning of the tractor’s front wheels are improper installation and adjustment, and changes in the wear and tear of certain parts. After the positioning is damaged, it not only affects walking and steering, but also causes eccentric wear and early scrapping of tires. To make the front wheel correctly positioned, it should be: ①Check and adjust regularly according to regulations; ②Repair or replace the steering joint in time after wear; ③Regularly check whether the wheel nuts and bolts are tightened, whether the bearings are loose, etc.; ④The front beam and After the half shaft is deformed, it should be corrected in time.
- Matters needing attention in operation. In tractordriving, on the basis of strictly complying with traffic laws, regulations and operating procedures, try to do the following aspects to extend the service life of tires. The main thing is to start and stop smoothly, use less sudden brakes, insist on driving at a medium speed, pay attention to choosing the road, and don’t drive at high speed on uneven roads. Try to avoid wear and damage caused by abnormal tire deformation and impact. At the same time, the left and right tires should have the same air pressure, the new and the old ones, to avoid eccentric wear. If the wear is uneven, the left and right tires can be used in reverse. When replacing new tires, they should be replaced in pairs on the same axle.
5. Storage of tires. Frequently remove the dirt on the tires and try not to stick corrosive substances such as oil, acid or alkali on the tires to prevent the tires from accelerating aging. After parking, try to avoid the tires from wind, sun, and rain. It is best to park in a dry garage. When parking during the farm slack, the tires should be propped up to avoid local deformation of the tires. Tire storage time should not be too long (such as more than 2 years), otherwise it will shorten the life.
