The gearbox of the tractor consists of a clutch pedal, a push rod, an interlocking shaft, a spring, a lock pin, a slide bar and the like. Pay attention to the maintenance of these parts, not only to extend their service life, but also to reduce many accidents. Ensure the normal operation of the locomotive.
- When shifting gears, pay attention to the clutch to the end, completely cut off the power, to prevent the gear from colliding and toothing during shifting to reduce gear damage.
- When shifting gears, pay attention to push the shift lever into position, so that the gears are fully meshed to prevent the tooth ends from being tapered, causing automatic gear shifting.
- During the locomotive work, pay attention to the oil level and temperature of the gearbox and whether there is abnormal noise. If the case temperature is higher than 70 °C – 80 °C, it means that some parts in the gearbox work abnormally, should be stopped to check and eliminate.
- Wheel tractors are shifting in progress. When shifting to low gears, pay attention to the combination of operating skills and throttle speed to prevent toothing.
- Winter gear oil viscosity is high, be careful not to load or drive at high speed at low temperatures to avoid poor lubrication, accelerate parts wear or damage gears.
- When the gear is engaged, if the clutch is completely separated and the gear is still difficult, it is because the gear teeth of one gear in the gearbox are facing the gear teeth of the other gear. At this time, pay attention to slightly lift the clutch pedal, let the gear turn a certain angle, then separate the clutch and re-position. Do not force the gear to avoid breaking the gear teeth.
- Be sure to check the fasteners and operating mechanism frequently and tighten and repair at any time.
- Note that different lubricants are used in winter and summer. The gearbox should be cleaned once every 500 hours of operation and replaced with new gear lubricants. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the oil when refueling, release the gear oil while hot, then add new diesel and idling at low speed for 2 minutes. After 3 minutes, finally release the diesel and add new gear oil.
